The Women’s Care Center located in Old Town, Chicago, is just one of nearly 100 anti-abortion “crisis pregnancy centers” in Illinois.

Crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs), also called “fake clinics,” are anti-abortion organizations that target pregnant people with deceptive and misleading information in order to prevent them from seeking abortion care. Anti-abortion CPCs frequently open near abortion clinics in order to confuse people seeking reproductive healthcare and create opportunities to misdirect patients away from their appointments. This practice is known as “clinic co-location.”
