GOP candidates favor jail time for abortion
Big news out of Alabama today.
All seven GOP gubernatorial candidates in the Yellowhammer State are in favor of banning abortion – no huge surprise there. But five of the seven add that doctors who perform abortions should do prison time.
What’s more, in a breathtaking display of disregard for women’s rights, candidate Bill Johnson actually said he favored prison for doctors and patients involved in abortions. Johnson is the former director of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
